Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Sweet Bakery Dublin, all cakes and treats are freshly prepared to order and often customised to our customers’ specifications.

For this reason, the following policy applies:


Custom Cakes & Personalised Orders

Custom orders are only confirmed once a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit has been received. Some customers may choose to pay the full amount upfront.

Any changes to design, flavour, size, wording, delivery or collection details must be requested at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the scheduled collection or delivery date.

Change requests made less than 72 hours before the scheduled date cannot be guaranteed and may be refused. However, at our sole discretion, we may accommodate certain changes depending on the nature of the request and the production stage.


Cancellations

Cancellations must be requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled collection or delivery date.

The 50% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

If full payment has been made, any potential refund for cancellations made within the required notice period will be issued at our discretion and may be subject to deductions for costs already incurred, including but not limited to:

  • Ingredients purchased

  • Custom decorations or toppers ordered

  • Supplier payments

  • Preparation or production work already carried out

If the order has entered the preparation or production stage, no full refund will be issued.


Standard (Non-Custom) Items

For standard, non-personalised items, cancellations must be requested at least 72 hours in advance. Refunds are issued at our discretion and may be subject to reasonable deductions if costs have already been incurred.


Collection & Delivery Responsibility

Once an order has been collected or delivered to the agreed address, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer.

We are not responsible for any damage occurring after collection or delivery.


Quality Concerns

Any concerns regarding product quality must be reported within 24 hours of collection or delivery. Photographic evidence may be required. Each case will be assessed individually and fairly.


Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Sweet Bakery Dublin shall not be held liable for delays or failure to fulfil an order due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, transportation disruptions, supplier delays, equipment failure, illness, or other unforeseen events.

In such cases, we will communicate promptly and make reasonable efforts to reschedule collection or delivery where possible.


Customer Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate collection and delivery details. We are not liable for issues arising from incorrect information provided at the time of ordering.
